My pattern making process begins with inspiration that leads me into fields of research and visual exploration. I gather sketches, painted studies, materials, photographs, and ornamental references, then bring them together through play and experimentation — by hand and within Adobe Illustrator.

The finished works evolve into seamless repeat files with vectorized artwork designed for use across scales, often in multiple colorways that reflect the layered atmosphere and story behind each design.

Fine & Modern Inn emerged from moments of reflection around the home during a season of change, following a narrative of order from chaos. Layering ornament, atmosphere, and unexpected detail, the collection creates spaces and pieces that feel expressive, personal, and richly composed. Moving between bold statement patterns and softer conversational designs, Victorian influence meets eclectic edge in a collection shaped by a subtle rebellious spirit.

Together, the designs form a cohesive visual world while allowing each pattern to stand independently, carrying its own distinct character and sense of atmosphere.
